The IEEE Conference on Cognitive Methods in Situation Awareness and Decision Support (CogSIMA 2011) is coming up next month in Miami.
From the conference: “The aim of IEEE CogSIMA 2011 is to provide a venue for presenting scientific results of studies of complex, heterogeneous dynamical systems that include humans, physical systems and computer agents whose behaviors depend on situation”.
My colleagues and I had two publications accepted (one poster and one paper) and are looking forward to presenting. The paper, “A perceptually-relevant model-based cyber threat prediction method for enterprise mission assurance” approaches mission assurance from a semantic perspective. The poster, “Cognitive cyber situational awareness using virtual worlds”, investigates how virtual worlds can be used in cyber security applications.
